As everyone knows.. the Commonwealth Games was on in Melb..
for some reason.. never really really felt the excitement of it all, tho everyone NOT in melb was absolutely jealous of the fact i was (for some reason).

Highlights (for me) included watching the closing ceremony fireworks at Carlton Gardens.
Beautifully- spectacular -breathtaking WOW
so much better than any Moomba over the years
Views were unobstructed.. and Jason and I stood there.. watching the fireworks going off frm the MCG, 4 tall buildings in the city AND on the Big screen as well (for all the ariel shots)
I was just standing there doing 360 degree spins to catch it all! hA!

Another highlight were the stuff going on by the Yarra River..where they actually displayed 72 fishes.. representing each of the Commonwealth Countries .. and guess what Singapore is.

Anyway i took a jog this evening by the Yarra to check em out for the last time before they get dismantled (which they are in the process of).. and honestly.
i think they are quite ugly.
ha.

Oh OH OH!!! i saw an INDIAN tram on the roads on Sat! which was sosohilarious. Complete with fairy lights.. a sort of brownish-green background and heaps of Indian words all over.. looked like a mini little india on wheels..
so beyond description. u got to see it to believe it.
too bad i didn't have my cam with me. UGHRS!
Well.. must have been some commeration for the 2010 Comm games in India.

most hilarious story which happened a week or so ago..
when a certain Mr C's (who shall not be named) car overheated maximally on the Eastern Freeway..
my first and ever time having to stop on the freeway in oz land..
with 4 girls piling out and looking at a smoking bonnet and offering all our bottles of water with much amusment while the above named tries to cool it down.

So.. we ended up at a petrol kiosk where much efforts of trying to rehydrate the car fails.. when it leaks (how incontinent) and just looks very sad.
with 5 pple looking at each other in a mixture of stifled amusment/appropriate concerned looks and helplessness.

A BELL WENT OFF IN MY HEAD

Who then arrives as promptly as any RACV driver.. (would be going at ambulance speed if she could) in my little Nissan and refuses to let me drive home cos " you drive too slow lah"

And just as ALL the girls piled into the car.. leaving Mr C to wait for the tow truck.. (i know.. i know.. sounds mean) he comes running after the car saying his prepaid credit has run out on his phone!

Oh mans.
It was one of THOSE days..

and our fridge..so dirrrty.. and which was ALWAYS sooo full i had to stuff my crap down at the doctors cottages..
AND the other 2 girls who so cheesed me off (pardon the pun)
KEPT STEALING MY CHEESE! AND LAUREN'S! *&^%$#
<--- notice the blue packet on the left of the fridge SWISS!!
and it wasn't like it got mixed up.. cos lauren eats like SWISS CHEESE (which is not that common) and i like the full fat version.. whereas they like Low fat (FAT GIRLS .. HAR HAR. )
and i come home to see them eating toasted cheese sandwiches and comment thats a gd idea.. AND THEY DON"T EVEN ;^&% tell me that they took MY cheese.

i don't mind giving you cheese if u ask. But nooooo... they were happily munching away like it was theirs. sighs.

haha... we reckon the next BIG tornado that comes through will so blow our cottage away. which.. is actually a good thing.

Opps.. no pics of the inside cos i couldn't be bothered to bring my cam across...
And they like.. pay.. $5/ week while we pay $75/ week!

-earn more
-have nicer accomdation
-Have a washing machine + dryer included while we have to use a communal laundry AND PAY to use it.
(Obviously i used their free one.. heh heh)

AND THEN..
look at the med students accom *faints*
they got the nicest of the lot.. complete with barbeque..
ah... the unfairness of it all...







Anyway.. enough of my whinging and i will post the nice nice UPSIDE of gippsland next! Because its the PEOPLE that MAKE a place..and i met GREAT pple! (including a dr jones, jones, calling dr jones *warbles to aqua tune*)not just surroundings.. and i'd say.. i did have a great time in Gippsland.. and its only the stuff like that, that makes it all the more memorable!

OUr very messy everything that looks all old and dreary and messy--> not my mess! i was only there 4 weeks! (ha ha.. notice the sorbert toilet rolls the other girls bought. Me and Lauren couldn't be bothered buying em-- just walked across the road and took them frm hospital toilets)


















the lousy TV with so much SNOW on it.. so fuzzy it was sad.









the kitchen smaller than the size of my room








and the even smaller stove.. which was almost impossibe to cook any meals on.. and it was disgustingly greasy anyway. urghs.
